IT BUDDY started with a simple idea: tech help shouldn't be intimidating. We're based in Ottawa, and we help everyday people — parents, grandparents, small business owners, anyone who's ever felt lost staring at a screen.
No geek-speak, no rushing you, no making you feel silly for asking. Just a friendly buddy who sorts it out, in person or remotely. And remember: if we couldn't help, you don't pay.

When in doubt, restart
If your computer or phone starts acting strange — freezing, running slow, an app won't open — restart it before trying anything else. A restart clears out temporary glitches, and it fixes the problem more often than you'd think.
Back up your photos
Phones get lost and computers break. Turn on automatic backup — iCloud on iPhone, Google Photos on Android — so your memories stay safe even if the device doesn't. It takes two minutes to set up.
Let updates run
Those update reminders aren't decoration — they fix security holes and bugs. Turn on automatic updates so it happens overnight while you sleep, and you'll never have to think about it.
